Weather in the UAE by Month
The weather in May begins to remind you that you are in a very hot and dry climate, the very name of which, “tropical desert”, makes you suddenly feel an attack of thirst. May is not yet completely ruthless for the people here, but it already bodes well for an extremely hot summer. The daytime temperature can jump to +37 and at night it will not go below +26. Feel free to put out of your suitcase any warm clothes – they will not go with you. Water on the open beaches of the Persian Gulf is very, very warm and beckons to take a swim. The waters of the Gulf of Oman are also very warm. Make sure you don’t leave your favorite bathing suit in the closet.
This is the last month of the year, when many tourists still arrive in the country. Their number will drop by the end of it. When choosing a trip to the UAE at this time, also lean your choice closer to the beginning of the month.
Rain and wind at this time of year are very unlikely phenomena, and their onset would rather make tourists happy than disappointed. Although it would be nice to take an umbrella with you – in addition to protection from the rain it can also be used effectively against the sun. Clothing made of thin natural materials will not only protect you from the scorching sunlight, but also allow (especially women) to move around the city without problems. Let us not forget that the United Arab Emirates is an Islamic state with strict rules of behavior. Drink alcoholic beverages, for example, can only be in the room or hotel restaurant.
Let us focus on the most famous city of the country. Choosing a place of rest in the UAE Dubai, it is worth some time to devote to the study of the urban subway. The subway in the UAE is the youngest in the world and the most high-tech. There is a branch only in Dubai and in the near future it is planned to lay another one – in Abu Dhabi. A total of four subway lines are planned to be launched in the country, where 99 trains of five cars will run. The current routes in Dubai run mostly above the ground, allowing you to see the beauties of the city from the car window. The subway is fully automated and controlled by robots without human intervention. The first – “red” line starts from the city center and runs along the entire coast. In addition to innovativeness, national traditions and class distinctions are respected here. The composition consists of three sections – for VIP passengers, for women and children, and for everyone else. The bright sun and high May temperature will not be felt in the car, because there are air-conditioning and even aromatization systems.
Having been to the Emirates, it is impossible not to visit the Palm Jumeirah. It is a one-of-a-kind work of high engineering and architecture that is rightly considered the eighth wonder of the world. Palm Jumeirah is an artificial bulk island in the shape of a palm tree with petals, surrounded by a bulk island in the idea of a crescent moon, which protects the other islands of the archipelago from the elements of the sea. In the center of the crescent island is the odious six(!) Star hotel, architecturally designed in the Arabian style – Atlantis. If you do not have enough finances to stay in Atlantis, then not to admire it from the outside is a must. Another such island, Palm Jebel Ali, will soon open for life and tourism.
During the hot seasons, a stay in a highly comfortable hotel will not suffer much from the country’s climatic peculiarities. Active air conditioning keeps the temperature indoors at a pleasantly cool level, and you can swim in the pools, the water in which, depending on the season, either heated or, conversely – cooled.
